God’s Dispensing – Unlocking the Mystery
of Believing in the Lord Jesus
The Two “Becomings” of Christ
John 1:14 says, “And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us…, full of grace and reality.” God became flesh. He was incarnated as a man named Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:45 says, “…the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.” The Lord became the Spirit. Rising from the dead, He is called the life-giving Spirit. Since this Spirit is the “life-giving Spirit,” the Spirit brings life and dispenses God into those who believe in Him. Thus, the Bible says, “He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.”
If God did not put on flesh, and if He did not become a man, then He would not be able to accomplish redemption. But once He put on flesh, just like any human being, He was immediately restricted in two aspects: He was limited by space, and He was also limited by time. For example, when a man is in Tianjin, he cannot be in Beijing or Shanghai at the same time.
The death of Christ was not only to bear our sins; Christ’s death also released Him from His flesh to become the Spirit. Now Christ as the Spirit can be everywhere. Because He is no longer limited by time and space, at any time and in any place, we all can be one with Him.
To Regenerate Man
In man’s first birth, he obtains physical life. In man’s second birth, he receives God’s life through Christ. The Bible calls this “regeneration.” John 3:3 says, “… Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
A pig cannot become a part of the kingdom of sheep or live out the life of a sheep by being taught to improve or by being regulated; it must have the life of a sheep. Likewise, if man wants to become part of God’s kingdom, to live out a holy life, this cannot be achieved through education, reformation, or regulation; he must receive God’s life!
Regeneration is to be “born of the Holy Spirit.” If you are willing to follow the feeling within your spirit, confess your sins to God, and call on the Lord Jesus, you can use your spirit to believe and receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior. You will surely contact God in your spirit and be able to receive God’s life. Once God’s life enters into you, you will be regenerated.
The Meaning of Being a Christian
A Christian is a person who has received God’s dispensing. God first dispenses Himself into our spirit, then from our spirit He spreads to our soul. Eventually, our spirit, soul, and body will be filled with God and be saturated by God. The Bible calls this outcome “glorification.”
This is the purpose of human life!
This is the meaning of being a Christian!
This is God’s plan for you!
