An Unchanging God
Our world has changed. Our lives have changed.
Everything that we knew, everything that we trusted, has been shaken. Our jobs, Our education, our economy, even simple human interactions. Nothing is the same. We never thought this could happen, I never thought this could happen. We put our hope and trust in these things and when they are taken away, what do we have left? We are left with fear, disappointment and uncertainty.
But it does not need to be that way, What if in the midst of this situation we could find peace, rest and hope? What if we have been putting our trust in the wrong things? What is there is something solid, unchangeable that will never disappoint you. It is not something but someone.
Hebrews 13:8 says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Isaiah 41:10 says Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. This is His promise. We have a God who is unchanging and whom we can trust. Our situation and environment changes all the time, but our God does not.
Now you can do this simple prayer: “Lord Jesus I open my heart to You, I receive You as my peace and rest. Thank You for being unchanging. I want to put my trust in You. Come into me and fill me with Yourself. Amen ”You can put your trust in God, He is unchanging and trustworthy.
