Joy Made Full
In the past I was easily offended by others and often became upset because of those “offenses.” However, since I was saved by receiving the Lord Jesus and being baptized, my heart has been filled with joy. Gradually I am no longer so easily offended and no longer indulge in self-pity. I like to smile, and my heart is broadened, because the most precious treasure in the universe is now in me, and joy spontaneously overflows from the depth of my being. This kind of joy cannot be taken away by anyone.
The Lord Jesus said: “My joy may be in you and your joy may be made full” (John 15:11). This fullness of joy overflows continually from the newness of life. As a result, I could not help but preach the gospel to my family and friends.
Having heard my sharing and seen the change in me, my mother said: “I want to believe in the Lord that you believe.” Thus, she was baptized into the Lord’s name last September. At that time, she saw that the smiles of the Christians around her were so genuine and from the heart. She said that by her old age and life experiences, she was convinced that such joy could not be feigned or manufactured and must be experienced by herself. Thus, with a simple believing heart, she received the divine life with its joy into her.
Dear friend, may you also receive the Lord Jesus as your Savior, so that your joy can also be made full!
Let us pray together: “Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for me on the cross and for bearing my sins. Lord, I believe into You and receive You as my Savior. Lord, come into me, and let me receive the real freedom and satisfaction.”
