There Is More than Meets the Eye

The world was caught unprepared by the swift and sudden widespread of the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Many places are now in lockdown with the aim of flattening the curve. People all over the world are hoping that this pandemic will soon be over so that lives can return to normal.

The Virus Not Visible to Man’s Eyes

Why is it so difficult to stop the spread of this virus? One is because this virus is so small that we cannot see it. Unless you use a very powerful microscope. It is something invisible to the naked eye. How then do you fight with an invisible enemy?

Other Things Not Visible to Man’s Eyes

There are many things that exist although we cannot see them. For example, we cannot see air, but it is definitely real. Without air, we cannot live. We cannot see the radio waves in the air but our radios can pick them up. We cannot see ultraviolet rays, but if you stay under the sun too long, you will get sun burn. And here’s more: we cannot see God, but God is definitely real! He also has an enemy that we cannot see — Satan — the one responsible for all the diseases that is spreading today.

The Enemy Satan Not Visible to Man’s Eyes

We need to realize that behind the physical world is a spiritual world which is invisible to our eyes.

God’s enemy, Satan intends to harm us. In fact, in John 10:10 the Lord depicted him as a thief who comes to steal, to kill and destroy. But thank the Lord that the Lord Jesus died for us on the cross. Through His death, He destroyed the devil. (Heb. 2:14; 1 John 3:8)

A Life-giving Spirit Not Visible to Man’s Eyes

Dear friend, God wants the best for you. His love for you caused Him to die on the cross to accomplished redemption for us. He shed His precious blood to forgive and wash away our sins. He was buried but on the third day He was resurrected and became a life-giving Spirit (1 Cor. 15:45a) so that He can enter into you to regenerate you and give you eternal life. Now to pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, thank You for dying for me on the cross. Thank You for becoming the life-giving Spirit so that You can enter into me. Lord, I confess I am a sinner. Please forgive me for my sins. I accept You right now as my Savior and my life. In Your precious name I pray. Amen.”
