A Letter to the healthcare Workers

Firstly, I would like to give you all my sincere thanks because you are risking your lives in order to help us. I know many of you have much anxiety due to caring for patients of unknown medical conditions which might be contagious. I know that not only are you concerned about yourselves, but also the family members who live with you. I also have close friends and relatives who are healthcare workers. Please know that many Christians are praying for you and your family during this pandemic. We thank you very much! Due to your efforts, our society is safe!

Secondly, I pray that you may rejoice! Since you cannot take immunization to protect yourself at the present time; please take this word: “A joyful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17:22). I am not an expert of psychoimmunology, but I know how much anxiety can damage people’s health, even relationships. In my experience and in many others, the joy of the Lord can strengthen and restore the soul.

Have you ever seriously considered the following: There is a God who created the universe and man. He loved the world. He became a man, Jesus, and died for man’s sins on the cross so that our sins can be forgiven. You may have heard about the Jesus in history. But now He is a life giving Spirt, like the air that can enter into man’s lungs, He can enter into your heart. He loves you and cares about you! His joy tastes so good. Other kinds of joy give temporal relief of anxiety, but His joy eliminates or cures the anxiety. As you take care of others, let Him take care of you!

He said: “Come to me all who toil and are burdened, and I will let you rest.” Bible also says: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because it matters to Him concerning you”. (1 Peter 5: 7) Whatever matters to you matters to Him! Because He loves you!

By calling upon His name, you can come to Him. Or pray: “Lord Jesus, I admit that I need rest and joy in my heart! I believe in You. Come into my heart! I receive you as my Savior, Amen!”

As you come to Him, you will surely enjoy Him as rest, peace and joy in your heart. May the Lord bless you and your family.
